Cellular Jail National Memorial
Cellular Jail reminds the gruesome years of the colonial period. Each corner of the jail reminds the horrible tortures faced by the freedom fighters. Atrocious punishments were imposed on prisoners and this jail is also known as ‘Kala Pani’. On 11th February 1979, cellular jail was declared as a ‘national memorial’ by the Prime Minister of India, Moraji Desai.
Visiting hours: for the Cellular Jail are between 9:00am to 4:45 Pm.
Light and Sound show timings: 5:30 Pm – 6:30 Pm, 6:45 pm – 7:45 pm, 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm, 9:15 pm –
10:15 pm (Hindi) on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
8:00 Pm – 9:00 Pm (English) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The price of the show is Rs.50/- per head.
Admission cost: is Rs.30/-. Camera-Rs.100/-. Video camera-Rs. 200/- respectively.
Tip: The jail remains closed on Public Holidays.
Neil Island

Havelock Island
Havelock Island is named after the British General, Henry Havelock. It is one of the largest islands in Andaman. It is situated 55 km northeast of Port Blair. Sparkling with white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and lush green surroundings makes the island a star attraction of Andaman. Picture-perfect landscapes, soft sand pleasant climate moulds the beach idyllic for refreshing and relaxing far away from the busy crowd. Havelock is famous for watching bioluminescence. To enjoy the natural beauty of the island, night kayaking is the best option. The island is a paradise for shopaholics. The island offers myriad varieties of adventure sports for adrenaline junkies.

Radhanagar Beach

Elephant Beach
It is one of the famous and the cleanest beaches in Andaman. Situated in Havelock Island, is a perfect destination for travellers to escape from the stressed life. There are many ways to enjoy the beauty of the beach. Either you can walk bare feet on the white sand or can opt for elephant safari and get a marvellous panoramic view of the entire region. The beach is famous for its sea walking. All the travellers are not so brave to try diving activities or speed boat rides. For them, walking under the sea by wearing a helmet will be an advantage for their trip. Pregnant ladies and heart patients are exempted from doing sea walking.

Kalapathar Beach
Kalapathar beach derived from ‘black road’ which runs parallel to seashore. The black rocks are abundantly seen on the shores of milky sands. Usually, the beach is least populated except on seasonal days. Travellers can plan a picnic over here with their special ones as it assures introspective solitude amidst the beautiful nature. The beach is really a paradise for photography enthusiasts. The beach offers enough wooden chairs and umbrellas to relax by reading books or can enjoy the gorgeous beauty of the sea in a calm ambience. As the beach comprises of enormous black rocks swimming is not appreciated. People can refresh themselves by taking a sunbath.
Activities practised: Sunbathing, Nature walk in the tropical forest.

North Bay Island
North Bay which is situated towards the north of Port Blair is also called Coral Island. Situated near to the capital, the island is a little crowded. The island is famous not only for the corals seen in underwater but also various marine creatures like lobsters, clams and different varieties of fishes. It is the perfect place for water lovers who like to try different water activities. The island is famous for its unique natural beauty. The island is also well-known for the lighthouse which is seen behind a twenty rupee note. Glass-bottomed boat rides are the best way to explore the corals residing under the water.
Activities practised: Glass-bottomed boat ride, snorkelling, scuba diving and sea walking.

Ross Island
Ross Island was known as the headquarters of Britishers during the colonial period. It is the perfect place for travellers to learn ancient history by viewing the galleries and ruins of old government offices, printing press offices and worship centres. The island was the pride of its ancient bakery which prepared mouth-watering goodies, buns, bread, croissants, cakes and many more of those days. The bakery was built during the 19th century. Travellers can spot various birds in the Mount Harriet national park and also go for a boat ride through the tropical forest. Soon after viewing the island travellers will have to return to their respective rooms as the island has no accommodation facilities.

Baratang Island
Baratang Island is well-known for natural wonders. It is situated between middle and south Andaman. Some portions of Baratang Island are inhabited by Jarwa tribes, who have no idea about the modern world and technologies. Andaman authorities have strictly prohibited visiting those areas and clicking photographs. People often visit the island to mesmerise the beauty of limestone caves, dense mangrove forest, tidal swamps and mud volcanoes. The fascinating limestone caves are known for stalagmites, stalactites and rock formations. It is a delightful experience to view flight parrot returning to their nests in evenings in Parrot Island.
