Go By Water

Natives of Ahmedabad who wish to experience a voyage in ships must reach Kolkatta or Chennai, from where about 3-4 sailings to Port Blair are available every month. But the duration it may take to reach Port Blair can extend up to days and if Kolkatta is your boarding point, 66 hours of a journey is needed in a ship and if Chennai is your option, then 60 hours will be taken to set feet at the port of Andaman. Vishakhapatnam also serves the same but due to the inaccessibility to reach there from Ahmedabad and presence of just one sailing per month, the voyage from Vishakhapatnam is not suggested for Ahmedabadi natives. To cover less duration to reach Kolkatta or Chennai, opting for a flight journey is better compared to the train.
